Ajanta and Ellora Caves


The Ajanta Caves in Chh. Sambhajinagar are 30 rock-cut Buddhist cave monuments which date from the 2nd century BCE to about 480 or 650 CE. The caves constitute of paintings and sculptures that are described as “the finest surviving examples of Indian art, particularly paintings”, which are masterpieces of Buddhist religious art, with figures of the Buddha and depictions of the Jataka tales. Bibi ka Maqbara


Bibi Ka Maqbara (English:”Tomb of the Lady”) is a maqbara located in Chh. Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, India. It was built by Azam Shah, son of Aurangzeb, in 1678 in memory of his mother, Dilras Banu Begum (posthumously known as Rabia-ud-Daurani). It bears a striking resemblance to the famous Taj Mahal, the mausoleum of his grandmother, Mumtaz Mahal. The comparison to the Taj Mahal has often obscured its very own considerable charm. Chh. Sambhajinagar Caves


The Chh. Sambhajinagar caves, officially known as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar caves are twelve rock-cut Buddhist shrines located on a hill running roughly east to west, close to the city of Chh. Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra. The first reference to the Chh. Sambhajinagar Caves is in the great chaitya of Kanheri Caves. The Chh. Sambhajinagar Caves were dug out of comparatively soft basalt rock during the 6th and 7th century.

Panchakki


Hazrat Baba Shah Musafir built Panchakki, a water mill, in 1734. Situated in the vibrant city of Chh. Sambhajinagar, Nehar-e-Panchakki was used to grind grains for the pilgrims. It is essentially a grinding mill that works on water mechanism. The entire structure of Panchakki primarily consists of a court, a madrasa, the house of a minister, a mosque, houses dedicated to females, and a Sarai. Daulatabad Fort


Located 15 km away from the main city of Chh. Sambhajinagar, Daulatabad Fort is an ancient fortification that rises formidably from the midst of verdant greenery. Often hailed as one of the ‘seven wonders of Maharashtra’, this architectural marvel is believed to have been built in the 12th century. Perhaps the most enchanting qualities of the Daulatabad Fort is its location, from the zenith of which you can capture a mesmerizing view of the entire city. Grishneshwar Temple


This 240 ft x 185 ft temple is still strong and beautiful as ever. Halfway up the temple, Dashavataras are carved in red stone. These are beautiful to look at. There are also other beautiful statutes carved out. A court hall is built on 24 pillars. On these pillars, there are wonderful carvings. The scenes and paintings are beautiful. The Garbhagriha measures 17 ft x 17 ft. The Lingamurty faces eastward. There is a gorgeous Nandikeshwara in the court hall. This place is located 33 km away from our Aurangabad hotel.

Siddharth Garden


Siddharth Garden and Zoo is very well located in the center of Chh. Sambhajinagar with just 3km from Chh. Sambhajinagar Railway Station and almost 4kms from Bibi ka Maqbara. This garden is a popular picnic spot in Chh. Sambhajinagar. It is the most visited place in Chh. Sambhajinagar during the weekend.

Siddharth Garden and Zoo timings is from morning 10am to evening 7pm. It is closed on Tuesdays. It has one of a kind aquarium in Chh. Sambhajinagar. It is also very well known for its zoo in Chh. Sambhajinagar.
